Haze Charging in Exoplanetary Atmospheres
Status: This project is submitted to ApJ. Landfall!!
In Solar System atmospheres, haze particles can become electrically charged — so what happens if the same thing occurs on exoplanets? We find that charging can keep particles small and make optical spectra steeper, potentially giving us a glimpse of atmospheric electricity on distant worlds.
